Outgrowing their existing building, the new Concord

Animal Hospital was designed to improve the overall

flow and functionality, to accommodate their future

needs, and to create an experience for the pets. We

started the project by understanding the site and

program adjacencies which helped inform the massing

study. Because the animal hospital needed to remain

in operation during construction, we worked with the

owners and contractors to develop a phasing plan

to build the new structure around the existing. The

final design features a minimal building with a simple

material palette and clean lines.
